The Woolpack

186 High St, Banstead SM7 2NZ, UK – 01737 354560

Been here a good number of times over the years. Lager choice a bit bland but usually have a few guest Ales each week and a beer festival in August. Good location and good seating outside for summer drinks. Decor inside is a little on the darker side but personally doesn't put me off. Haven't had as many meals recently in there as menu not varied enough for myself and partner but that is us personally. When we have had meals though, it has mostly been good, delivered in reasonable time and staff been attentive. If you like traditional English menu then great, just would like to see a few more options in their specials, as the had a year plus back. Staff are a credit and will be back again I am sure.

Beautiful place for a family get together or friends or work colleagues.. I'll recommend it

The California

1 Brighton Rd, Sutton SM2 5SU, UK – 020 8642 9799

I've tried to like this pub as it is the nearest to my home, but I just can't warm to it. It is spacious with plentiful seating, somehow does not feel comfortable. It has an open fire but still doesn't feel cozy. There is a reasonable selection of ales, but I don't think I've ever had more than 2 pints in there. The food is regular pub grub competitively priced and I will still do my best to give the place my support. Too many pubs are closing and this one deserves to survive..

Nice outdoors area. Large inside area. Tried to call about the Sunday pub quiz but they said no one turns up so we haven't been. Food was good, I had cambert with bread to dip and some nachos

The White Hart

Hazelwood Ln, Chipstead, Coulsdon CR5 3QW, UK – 01737 554455

Very nice pub with a great food menu. Very dog friendly pub. Nice beer garden. Not the place to go if your looking for cheap food and drinks but very good staff and a quality pub.

Great little pub in Chipstead. Went here for a family meal and it didn’t disappoint. The setting in side the pub is lovely it’s clean and children friendly, fire place roaring and a number of games ready to be played. The food is reasonable and portion size is just right, never had any problems and everyone enjoyed their meals. Desserts are dangerously yummy so be warned you may want more. The staff and services is spot on and have no complaints at all, very friendly and helpful. There is parking at the back but say this gets full easily. All in all a 5 star pub
